She has used blogs, wikis and other web 2.0 tools to support learning with her six year old students for four years. Kathy has shared the ways she uses technology in her classroom with local and international audiences. She has won several awards for her online work including the Microsoft Innovative Teacher Award and the Canadian Regional Award for Reading and Technology from the International Reading Association. Maria is an experienced educator who is both a teacher and a learner. She teaches kindergarten in Deerfield, New Hampshire and always seeking ways to expand the learning opportunities for students. Through collaborative projects and a classroom blog, her students communicate with a global audience. Maria is a frequent presenter at local, state and regional conferences. She is the recipient of the 2007 Pat Keyes Technology Using Educator Award from NHSTE and the 2008 Kay L. Amanda Marrinan

Profile_Pic_2.jpgAmanda Marrinan is a Year Two teacher, from Brisbane, Australia, who uses Web 2.0 tools to support a child-centred and inquiry-based approach to learning in her classroom. Her students engage in conversation with others around the world via a class blog, individual blogfolios and global projects. Amanda has conducted workshops at a staff and systemic level, has presented at state and international conferences and was selected to share her experiences with using online technologies at the 2007 Australian Government Quality Teacher Programme National Forum.
